Can anyone recommend me one please? I think I want Samsung as we're replacing one we've had for 15 years and it's been brilliant.

Any recs would be gratefully received as there are so many out there I am going in circles.

Or if you have one and hate it please tell me, too!

Fisher & Paykal. My favourite fridge, which I sadly had to leave behind when I moved. Comes in several sizes.

We have a brilliant Samsung A+ one that barely seems to use any power. We wanted a plumbed one, though, so might not be what you are looking for (check Marks Electrical - am about to do the school run, so can't find a link ATM)

We have an LG that is very good. I do agree with @IsThisEverOkay00 re Fisher & Paykel, I just couldn't justify spending that last time.
Miele seem to have a bad reputation these days.

its been a few years since I bought ours so don't remember but I'd look at the warranties each offer, the longer they give the more confident they are in the quality of their product and then you have some piece of mind too.

Following - I am getting one but it needs to be under 85 cm as I messed up my kitchen design 🙄

Fisher and Paykal 70/30 one here. Bought it recently from John Lewis to replace our 23 year old Maytag American style, which was still working perfectly but the stainless steel doors were scratched.

Love the new one.

Agree re: Fisher Paykel. They are really good. The one caveat I would add is don’t get the one with the water dispenser. We’ve had 2 and no end of problems with that bit. We now have one without and it’s great.

In Australia. We had a fridge that needed its engine replaced far too soon. Became well known as a fault. The engineer put in a F&P and walked away saying “see you in 30 years “.

Hate the Samsung as the crisper drawers are a nightmare to clean with small bits of debris- broccoli between parts and impossible to remove. An obvious design fault. Taking drawers out to clean are fiddly to get back in so very frustrating for an expensive piece of kit.

HettyCletter · 30/04/2026 20:27

I think this is the one we have, and it easily one of the best things I’ve ever bought.

HettyCletter · 30/04/2026 20:30

No idea why the link isn’t showing - sorry!

We have a Bosch French door fridge freezer - I love it because you get a big wide fridge at eye level which I feel is more practical and user friendly than fridge on one side and freezer on the other side. The veg drawer keeps stuff fresh for soooooo long. Only thing I don't like is that the freezer handles collect crumbs and you have to open both fridge doors to open the left hand veg drawer. But those are minor issues.

French drawer one. I am a recent convert and LOVE mine.

WillieBanjo · 01/05/2026 14:08

We have a Haier one . We wanted one without the ice/drinks dispenser. The top is fridge bottom freezer. It’s massive and it’s been fantastic.

Saisong · 01/05/2026 14:13

We have a F&P french door one and I love it. Wanted the fridge at eye level, rather than american style. Only afforded it because John Lewis had a sale on then F&P were doing a £500 cash back after purchase. Knocked almost a grand off (and was still pricey!!)
