Window Help

We’re just building an extension at the moment, and need to order the windows. We’ve got a lovely freestanding bath in our en-suite, and I was hoping I’d be able to sit in
there, read a book and look out over the garden. However, I’ve just realised that if we want opaque glass in this room for privacy then it needs to be the whole window that is opaque, and then my plan will be foiled 😭 in an ideal
world we’d have the fancy glass that turns opaque at the touch of a button, but builder has said that’s pretty spendy.

Does anyone have any budget friendly solutions for me? I was thinking of a blind, but constantly pulling it up and down is likely to drive me nuts. Can’t think of anything that is a better option at the moment though.

Wise people of Mumsnet, what am I missing?

Long nets for day time and a blind for the nights? Or clear glass with a stick on semi opaque pattern so you can sort of still see through it?

A remote control operated roller blind.
We had one put in for my aging Dmum and it was great.

Not a fan of roller blinds in a bathroom due to damp & mould but would be a workable solution.

I’m not quite understanding what you want to do. However you can get privacy film which stick onto the. glass to make any area you want opaque whilst leaving the rest of it see through. Don’t know if that would help?

Think you can get a mirror type film which allows you to see out but people can't see in

A blind isn't onerous OP!!
