Replacing kitchen doors and worktops versus respray for early 2000s kitchen

I would really like my early 2000s kitchen updated but a full refit is unfortunately out of budget. I have seen an advert for Joe’s Doors, for replacement doors and worktops, which looks good, so wondering if anyone has used them, or a similar company? How much did it cost and could you recommend? Or should I look into a respray instead? Any pointers gratefully received. Thank you.

Our kitchen isn’t finished yet and there is still a bit of touching up to do but so far I’d say it was worth it for anyone thinking of doing this!

Quick update - Joe’s Doors did our kitchen last week and we’re delighted with it. One door was scratched so they’re back to replace it next week, but I’d be happy to recommend them for service, cost, quality and the fitter was a lovely chap too.

I've had mine done now too. I got a lovely local chap in to change my worktops, and he arranged a plumber and an electrician to put in a new sink & tap and oven & hob. Then I got another local firm to spray paint my units. I'm delighted with the results, and it all worked out much cheaper than changing doors.

Can I be cheeky and ask how much changing the doors cost you please? We are about to move and while the kitchen itself is fine, we would like to change the doors. We have looked at Joes Doors and will most likely get them out to quote once we have moved. But would be good to get a ball park figure.

Thanks

£9.5k. They changed 15 doors, the plinths and the cornice and wrapped the sides and some shelves. They gave us a new sink and taps for free and we separately bought a new hob and oven which they fitted for free.
They also fitted a new quartz worktop over the old one.

we kept the same splash back but will probably tile over that at some point.

A local company offering a similar service quoted £15k.

Thank you so much. That is really useful. We are hoping to bring our project in for under 10K and we have slightly less doors to replace than that so that seems more than do-able for us.

Its good to get proper recommendations from people who have actually used them so thanks.

No worries. I guess a lot depends on the fitter they use. You pay him separately to paying Joes Doors for the doors.
