Moved into a new place and the bathroom is very meh! Tiles are actually waaay more brown than they appear in the photos. I prefer the grey/white look!

Any ideas to modernise it on a budget. Don’t have the funds for a full reno yet.

Would you do a:
A)Paint the tiles grey/charcoal, maybe paint the walls, so it looks more modern for next 5 or so years.
B) Leave as is because it’s really not that bad and do a reno once it gets too worn.

I’d just paint it for now and add some tiles between the sink and the mirror. You could transform the look with some plants, blinds and accessories. The mirror looks huge maybe it’s the photo.
I wouldn’t introduce grey I’d paint the walls soft pink or pale green.

I would leave the tiles and paint the walls as suggested by PP to warm it up a bit and maybe get a blind for the window.

Add colourful bath mats and some pictures on the wall and plants and decor. Green stuff might give a nice relaxing nature vibe and draw attention away from the tiles.

Just get some colour in there with accessories and plants that would make a huge difference.

If only my bathroom looked like that!

I wd go for a really bold colour - like deep sea green. It goes well with that shade of tiles

Grey is more dated than that brown. I would replace the sink cabinet with something more unique in a natural wood, that would give it a bit more charm.

Don't paint the tiles. I would paint the walls
Get a big bath at and then add some plants (or fake plants) to distract the eye from the tiles.

Tbh if it's just the tiles you hate, retiiling wouldn't be all that expensive or difficult. If you remove the old ones it would only take a tiler a day to put new ones on which would be around £300-500 depending on where you are. Tiling isn't even all that difficult to teach yourself if you are feeling brave.

I’d buy bath mats and towels with colour. Add a green plant or two. Get a picture on the wall.
what you have is a good basis to work with and looks more modern than grey, which is quite a dated look now. Brown is warmer and friendlier.

Agree- it’s a neural and pretty modern bathroom so easy to jazz it up with some pictures/ mirrors / towels and I prefer beige tones to grey. Maybe change the mirror as that is a bit utilitarian.

I don’t like painted tiles because they always look amareurish ( admittedly possibly there are ones that are done so well I don’t know they’re painted) and if you painted the floor it would likely scuff/ wear.

I wouldn't paint the walls or change the tiles. I'd accessorise with colour and definitely add plants!
