2nd House Tax ADS

Hi,
Can someone clear this up for me please.

I own a house that I rent out and I live in a house.
When I bought my 2nd house in 2020 I paid the second house tax. I now want to sell the house I live in and buy another house to live in. Main residence to main residence. Will I have to pay the second house tax again because I still have the rented property? Even although I already paid second house tax?

The house I live in just now I plan to sell before I buy so I won't be a case of me having 3 houses.

I was just wondering will I have to pay ADS every time I go from main residence to main residence because I have the rented property?

Thank you
Hopefully someone can help.

The gov.uk website is where to head for residential property tax info.

I can help. Selling your main residence to buy a new main residence doesn’t incur second home stamp duty, even if you own a buy to let or other second home.
