I has stubborn marks on my rangemaster, tried a few things and nothing was shifting them so I resorted to the Pink Stuff 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️😭😭😭
What an idiot.
Now they will never look clean. Is there anything can be done? 😢😥😢😥

spray paint?

No recommendations, but you can buy replacement door skins to hide things like this.

Unfortunately it looks like you’ve done permanent damage by using the pink stuff. I also used something on my range cooker and ruined part of it. I later noticed the warning on my instruction manual that cream cleaners were not allowed. I think mine was by astonish that I used.

Try rubbing olive it baby oil onto that.

Fredflinstoneswife1 · 16/01/2026 09:16

Thank you for the suggestions. I've tried baby oil and bar keepers friend. I've read t-cut might help, but I'd need to get some. If anyone has any other suggestions I am all ears and would be very thankful.

I did something similar to the top of the aga I used wood stove paint in the end to repair it. It looks like you’ve rubbed against the grain and damaged it. Metal polish may help but I think you’ll have to sand it down slightly going with the grain and then polish.

Don’t use T-cut as it too is an abrasive.

To be honest I think you’re going to have to buy new door fronts.

Do you have insurance? Possibly home contents, accidental damage? Good luck …

BadgernTheGarden · 16/01/2026 09:53

Fine wet and dry sandpaper to get it all looking the same then stove paint (which may be difficult to get an even finish with), or just metal polish whatever you get when it all looks the same. Or new door fronts!

Elbowpatch · 16/01/2026 09:55

Try using a fine (grey) Scotchbrite pad along the grain. Although to be honest you might have to do the whole cooker to get it to blend in. Ask Rangemaster?

The original finish was brushed and you have polished it off with the pink stuff.

You basically have to remove all of the existing finish and start again so it's going to be brutal! Or new door fronts.

This looks like an Elise model - there are some replacement doors on Ebay (currently about £78) but they are in cream so would change the overall look but all panels included
