Bathroom refit - cost?

I’m looking to get my box room and teeeeeny bathroom knocked together (stud wall between them) and then the main wall and door moving a bit so the hallway is a good shape. Means I don’t need much pipe replacement and it’s above the kitchen so there is already plumbing in place below the box room.

Anyone want to guess on costs for a standard free bath, walk in shower, loo, basin, towel rail? Tiled floor and some wall tiles/panels as needed.

Bathroom refit - cost?

We've been quoted £5k labour and materials but excluding suite, tiles etc. That's for a simple bathroom refit of a similar size to yours. I would think you knocking through would add a little more to the work especially if pipework needs changing or electrics.

I've then costed up about £3k for mid priced suite, tiles etc. I decided against the beautiful but very expensive £80m2 tiles.

We were quoted £5k, £5.3k and £5.8k for labour and materials a couple of weeks ago. We went with the middle quote, especially as it was more transparent about what was included (plastering, waste disposal, etc). I'm supplying all the tiles, furniture, suite, radiator, taps, etc. So far, my total budget is around £8.8k, although I'm hoping that may go down a little if the bathroom fitter can get me some good discounts. That's buying decent quality, rather than builder grade, stuff - for example, I'm getting a Carron bath, a hansgrohe shower, a Crosswater bath screen, etc.

Oh wow these are both much better than I expected! 7 years ago I paid £10k to replace long thin bathroom so I have budget £15k for this but will be delighted to shave that down

Oh actually @mackerella is your £8.8 on top of your £5.3? So looking like £14k total?

Will depend on whether you go cheap or expensive sanitary items, also tile cost can range considerably, as will the type of shower you want. Leaving bath and wc in same position will cut down the price.

Ive just done one small bathroom and had the quote in to do another which is knocking through like yours. The labour cost is £12.5k including plumbing and electrics and the knocking through, closing up the second doorway and plastering. The shower toilet etc will be about another £4k and tiles about £2k so I think your £15k is about right. Maybe a little short but not much

The bathroom Ive just completed cost £14k without a knock through

We did ours last year. Came to about £16k all in.

Mine was £4k for fitting. I bought all the suite and tiles etc myself so I could choose, but it included all the plumbing items.
Not connected, but it cost around £1k to have a wall removed last year.

Are you down south or in London? That will impact the cost. I would say around £10,000 if you are outside London/the South maybe £15000in London.

My friend has just had her bathroom moved around slightly. About 10ft x 8. New wall panelling, floor tiles etc. no walls knocked down. New suite and shower. Cost her just over £10k
As yours is bigger and you need walls doing, I'd say £14 to £16k depending on choices.
