One way film/tint on windows

Has anyone use the film/tint on windows so that you can see out but people can’t see in. I’m looking to get it as our neighbours can see into a window potentially and it’s really annoying and it’s a bit of a pain to have blinds. If anyone’s use this film and got any stories or recommendations that would be great..

Following because I currently have a roll in my bedroom that I haven’t quite got up the nerve to apply to the window in case it goes all creased and horrible.

I've installed this in every house I've lived in for the last 15 years. I've used various suppliers and they all seem basically the same. I just really like the extra privacy it gives me. I can stroll from the shower to my bedroom without thinking about closing the curtains etc.

It's easy to install - just use LOADS of soapy water. Remember that if it's a mirror/ you cannot see out, then everyone can see in, so it doesn't work at night, when your house is lit up more than the outside. You will still need blinds or curtains for the night time.

I can't remember the name of the last place I ordered from, maybe "Omega" but honestly they are all basically the same, so going on price is fine.

Oh! I didnt realise that you would be able to see on at night! That defeats the purpose!

At night it works in reverse.
Especially when you have the lights on, you can't see out at all but you can see in clearly.

Why not just get the glass changed to opaque (forgotten what the name is) as in doctor's surgeries? We did that in our bathroom. You can then put the light on at night with no problem.

Could you use the frosted type film or is it a window you particularly want to see out of. We have it on our side window as it faces the neighbours garden and the fence is only low, it still lets light in but obviously no one can see through it in either direction.
