Toddler safety - securing mirror to wall

Hello! After some advice regarding solutions for securing a full length mirror, when you have a busy toddler running around. This is not a leaner mirror, but a wall hung mirror. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to make this more secure than just hanging and nails? It’s relatively lightweight, but obviously obviously want it securely fixed to the wall. Thanks so much!

We had a mirror fixed to the wall. It wasn’t full length, but was very heavy. DH made a frame and screwed it all in. We had to leave it when we moved.

I also don't see any way you can do this without making a frame and then fixing the mirror to the frame and then the frame to the wall.

I guess it may be possible to screw through the surround and into the wall if it has one.

You can buy "mirror corners" from any hardware store. They are a bracket that tucks over the corners of the mirror, with little lugs attached to the back that you can screw through, so two holes per corner. If you google mirror corner or mirror bracket you will see what I mean. You could ask at any glass retailer and they should be able to help, they must do this all the time.

I don't blame you for being cautious, string and a hook is an accident waiting to happen.
