Do a walk by or drive by at different times of the day, multiple times. I know it's common sense. I've been watching my neighbour move their 2nd car (large Chelsea tractor) every time a viewing is booked leaving their small round around car behind to make the garage block look less congested with a better turning circle and make them look like less piss taking neighbours (TP1s don't even allow parking outside garages nether mind 2 cars) just makes me laugh. What exactly is their plan once someone moves in? Love to hear what other tricks people pull to get their neighbour's house sold? Both for a laugh and because I'm viewing other places at the moment. The saddest part of viewing is seeing how much neighbours push the boundaries when their neighbour is elderly or vulnerable.

But their “Chelsea tractor” won’t be there after they move out, and any buyer will be able to tell they won’t have as much room if they have 2 cars compared to the sellers seeming one car?

Some times the photos can be very deceiving on the parking. I went to a viewing last week during the day when there was very little cars parked up. There were alsorts of bollards and sleeping policemen in situ. Photo gave impression you could park directly outside the house - if you did you would be doing a twenty point turn to get out. The whole close looked a car wars nightmare. No surprise its been on the market a while!

When we had moved into our house the neighbour’s kids told us that our seller had paid them 50p ( it was a while ago) not to play in the street when viewers were coming round. They played out in a big gang until quite late so probably money well spent!

Someone else car is utterly nothing to do with buying a house and certainly nothing to do with an EA.

Why on earth would neighbors give a shit if someone else's house sells, how is moving a car from their garage 'pushing boundaries with the elderly or vulnerable'?

What on earth are you on about?

You sound like a nightmare curtain twitcher gossipy conspiracy theorist neighbor more than the person who just happens to own a range rover which suprisingly moves sometimes like cars do (and which isn't the shock horror thing you seem to think it is).

They got comfortable with overparking encroaching on neighbouring space/turning circles because the neighbour was elderly and had to give up driving due to health issues so for a long time benefited from essentially an extra garage space because no one was parking next to them. They claim she agreed to them parking in a way that encroaches on her access if she was still driving but it's not really clear she had the capacity to agree or even authority as the TP1s don't allow it. Now that the house needs to be sold for her care it's all unravelling which is a headache for her adult child left to sort out the mess so I guess this is their short term solution. They are not happy that two houses around them aren't selling as they feel it devalues their home and give unsolicited "tips" for house selling but at least 95% of the feedback from viewings with EAs is about the parking, nothing to do with decor etc. Even price drops haven't worked as people value the parking more. EAs have asked if anything "can be done" to improve the parking image. I don't see how driving a car away for a few hours is really a long term solution for anyone but I guess they feel it's better than houses not selling around them. Still for me it's a valuable lesson in check and check again.

Sounds like an awful lot of assumption, heresay and gossip.

A nosy neighbor who butts into other people private dealings like a self appointed 'rule keeper' would by FAR put me off as a 'nightmare neighbor' more than someone with 2 cars even if one is large and parked publicly.
