Styling a non-functioning fireplace

Can anyone advise how to style my fireplace - purely decorative? I feel we need something in this basket but what? Fake or real logs? There is no gas connected. 🙏

Pillar candles various heights. LEDs if safety is an issue. A large dried flower arrangement would be an alternative.

I think I'd get rid of the grate and have some really spectacular pottery vases with fresh or dried flowers, and some different sized candles in a group to light and give warmth

I'd be tempted to fill with some logs / pine cones etc and have fairy lights dotted in amongst the lot, would look very pretty

I think adding logs might be a bit misleading. I’d remove the fire basket and put some big candles there, in a range of heights. Dried flowers are a bit holiday let.

Just realised that I’ve assumed you mean “style it to sell”- hence my comment about misleading- but you didn’t actually say that so ignore that bit.

Real logs and maybe place a string of warm LED fairy light over them to switch on in the evening.

this image is exactly what I meant but if you build up the log layers with the lights in between then you won't see the string/lead, just the lights in amongst all of the logs, will be pretty and cosy glow
