Ammonite or Skimmingstone

We have a south west facing living room that is currently painted Ammonite by farrow and ball.

I need to repaint the room before the new flooring goes down and I can’t decide whether to touch up in the ammonite or go for a different colour. Ammonite looks a bit lilac so I was thinking skimming stone as it seems warmer?

All suggestions welcome and appreciated.

I like Portland Stone Pale or Light by Little Greene. Better coverage than F and B.

I wrote off Portland stone pale (bit yellow) but Portland stone light looks lovely! I’ll grab a tester 😊

I have Clunch is a south west space and it’s lovely. It’s still available, although it was replaced by Slipper Satin, which may be a touch more neutral.

Looks lovely with Old White on joinery

The flooring might affect the colour too if it's different from previous flooring. I had a grey floor which cast lilac tones on a greige wall sample. When the floor was sand coloured instead the walls looked less lilac (except when a carmine red accessory was introduced - then the purple undertone came back!)
Moral being there are other things affecting undertones than just the paint itself...floor curtains sofas furniture. So match the paint to those ...a lot cheaper than starting with the paint colour and having to change everything.

Cream carpet and cream curtains so it’s definitely the paint colour. Driving me mad! It needs touching up anyway, it’s been 7 years since it’s last lick of paint.

Someone suggested Egyptian cotton so I may get a sample of that too. I’ve got 9 testers on order 😂

Egyptian Cotton is very similar to Skimming Stone. Plan-home website is good for comparing colours. We have just had our large lounge/diner (south, east and west facing) painted EC and it appears warm and different shades at different time which I like. We are having a major refurbishment so no carpets or furniture in the room and living elsewhere at present. Going to go for beige carpets and curtains.
