Norwich or Ely? And why

We are looking to relocate from Walthamstow to either one of these areas, we have two small children.
Which one of those would you choose and why?

When you say one of the reasons Norwich appeals to you is because it’s “walkable” - you do drive, don’t you? Because Norwich, although lovely, is a relatively small place in terms of what’s out there for families in Norfolk / Suffolk and to really make the most of living here you need a car. Yes, you can manage without but there are so many beautiful beaches, country walks etc that you just can’t easily reach on public transport. We moved from South London to a town on the Norfolk / Suffolk border about 15 years ago and love it here.
