New build giving me a dry nose?

Moved into a new build a couple of weeks ago and as expected it’s very warm/ well insulated and the air is very dry however my nose is so sore! It’s cracked and every morning im waking up with dried (gross) mucus inside my nose that literally bleeds if I remove it with tissues. Is this normal for a new build? I’ve been using saline spray with little effect. Anything else I can do to stop my nose being so dry it hurts inside?

Are you not keeping windows open?

Yep I’m having to or we’d boil! Not helping my dry nose though

Might be plaster dust. It's very alkaline and drying on the hands and hair.

A Hepa vac will gradually collect it but a damp sponge is better.

It will be on top of doors, lampshades, skirting, and in curtains and carpets.

I can't help with the why, but smear a very thin layer of vaseline inside your nose & around your nostrils every night before you go to bed. It will stop it drying out overnight.
