Commute to King's Cross

I'm looking to buy a small property - flat or small house (up to £375,000 - a little less better) where I can commute to a new job in King's Cross in an hour or less. Preferably a direct line. Not too close to London but not so far that the train price is high. Safe-to-live areas, green & leafy ideal! Any suggestions, please?

You've given your budget for the property but also said you want the commuting cost to be not high too - do you have a guide on where you cost bar on commuting is? And are you commuting 5 days a week?

Cambridge, there’s several 1/2 bed apartments/ maisonettes for sale under your budget. I commuted from there to kings X for a few years and found the service pretty reliable. Fast train about 45-50 mins. There’s also Cambridge north where it’s easier to get a seat in the morning.
