Damp Proofing Companies - Kenwood?

Our kitchen has developed a damp patch midway up an outside wall. It’s an old Victorian house and only a single skinned wall. I think it might need some rendering outside and also some damp treatment.

Has anyone used Kenwood plc and would you recommend them? I normally like to use local independent trades people, but I can’t seem to find decent ones around me in South East London.

Damp treatment companies seems full of even more cowboys than normal builders!

Rendering will seal the damp in...!..maybe some repointing needed
look at: Heritage house , website for good damp info...courses are usually a total con and not needed.

I meant repointing, not sure why I typed rendering!

Thanks for the tip, will have a look.

What's on the inside and outside of the damp patch?

Most damp proof companies just hide the issue rather than fixing it which can just end up damaging the fabric of the building and messing to more problems further down the line.
