Hi
we recently bought a new house and the previous occupants took the washing line but left the post. See here.
I’ve been trying to find which make it could be with a view to reusing it as it looks like it’s concreted in.
Anyone recognise it?
Thanks

are you sure its concreted in? most of them are just spikes in the ground and dug out when replacing

Many are concreted in.
The hammer or screw in type are ok when the ground is firm but during hot/dry spells (like we have at the moment) the ground shrinks and these can become very loose so concreting is the best solution.

A short post sticking out of the ground is a new one on me, have always had the flush, hollow tube type.

It won’t be that hard to dig up if it’s concreted in. Just dig around the edge until you are able to get a spade under the concrete, and lever it up.

Then buy a bag of postcrete to concrete the new one in, and some top soil and grass seed to finish off.

It looks like a rubber bung in the top. If you take that out you should be able to measure the diameter and go from there?
Although it looks thin and fragile. Digging it out to replace might be better longer term.
