Ive been through so many samples I can't see anything anymore so some opinions would be great.

So the kitchen has white cabinets, the worktop colour is very like Elephants Breath and flooring will be a light coloured cork.

My shortlist of colours are
Pointing - could be a bit yellowy
School house white - might be a bit dingy
Slipper satin - too dark??
Strong White is currently top of the list but woulkd it look too grey?? Or would south facing light warm it up enough??

All opinions greatly appreciated! 😁

I love Strong White! IME it only looks at all grey when next to brilliant white, but in strong sunlight it will just look white with no yellow tones.

Thanks Ketzele. I have boards painted with all the possibles but waiting for the, grey/brown bin ork top so its hard tontell what will work.

Would Pointing end up looking a bit Magnolia I wonder??

Pointing is also lovely but I love strong white, it doesn’t look grey

Yes I love it on my board! Ive one in Ammonite too but it seems quite grey. I think really need the worktop in though to see what it would be like.

It's really tricky mixing whites. You need to make sure your paint works against your white cabinets - are you going to test a sample?

You say your counters are like Elephants Breath, and F&B recommend Strong White with Elephants Breath. It is my absolute favourite White because it has no yellow undertone, whereas Pointing has quite a lot of yellow. SW has a kind of warm grey undertone, but I think the warmth comes more from pink than yellow.

Also, I have School House White in my (light-starved) living room, and it is quite a yellowy stone colour, whereas in my friend's house it just looks warm white. So the light conditions in your home make a huge difference, and you really do need to sample it.

Having said that, of the colours you have listed Strong White is the safest bet, and impossible to hate!

Thanks very much for all of your thoughts. Yes I have large pieces of cardboard with all the colours painted on them

Sounds like Strong White might be the one. Although I have a yearning for Slipper Satin. I think I only considered School House White because I loved the idea of it, the name...

Their marketing has a grip on me ! ! ! 😅
