Awkward middle bedroom w/out window - how to use

Hi guys, any ideas on what to do with the middle bedroom in this floorplan? Considering properties on the market and wondering if you could do something with this or worth finding something else.

Wondered if you could split the middle bedroom in half and make a small lower portion storage for the bay window bedroom - then make the rest into wardrobe/ensuite for back bedroom?

I missed that the back bedroom only access is through the "windlowless" room. This makes it a dressing room, not a bedroom. Or a nursery nook for a cot. It isn't a 4 bed as one of the rooms is only accessed through another and one has no windows. Have you seen it? Is the windowless room dark? If they haven't "thought through" the layout, are there other things that don't work and would be costly/time-consuming/hassle to fix?

Have you actually seen the house or are you just looking at the plan? If the latter, it might well be an error. Very odd not to have a window there.

I think it is windowless because it's semi detached - it would've had a window pre extension but the added extension at the back has led to this odd situation!

Thanks! I think if we did go ahead we would probs do this re ensuite/bathroom situation! Good to know there is an option

There are new daylight type lights that look like skylights. Maybe that would suit.

So can you only get to the larger bedroom through the non middle bedroom? The small bedroom looks pretty small too.
It would cause too many issues for me I think

I wouldn't touch that house, that layout is a disaster. Not only does it not have a window, the only access to the back bedroom is through that room, so it's just a cupboard/corridor. AND the front bedroom 3 is absolutely tiny so it's really just a two bed house with generous storage space.

Are they actually listing that as a bedroom, because i thought UK building regulations require a window in any room listed as a bedroom?

I would definitely look into whether this is actually valid because you may find yourself with a property you can only legitimately list as a 3-bed.

Edited

This- I looked at a bungalow similarly listed and was told it was illegal to list a room without a window as a bedroom.

I’d make it the family bathroom and space permitting cut a chunk out of it to give the bedroom at the front an ensuite. Good extractor fans will make up for the lack pf windows. The existing bathroom then just goes completely and becomes part of the landing to allow the door for the back bedroom to repositioned and also giving room for the stairs to go up to the loft conversion when you come to do that.

But legally it’s not a bedrooom, the extension can’t have met building regs so I’d want to sure you’ve had it surveyed to make sure it’s safe, check to see if you need an indemnity policy and definitely do not overpay for it!!

Turn the big room around and split the window at the back. Then you get two rooms with windows.

Walk in wardrobe/.jack and Jill bathroom/both (depending on size)

I’d turn the bathroom into a bedroom so it can have window, and have the bathroom with no window. Possibly a bigger landing with office space.

That is what I did on my first house. Victorian end terrace, odd corridor and internal bedroom going on.
I just made sure I had the best extractor fan I could in there, lots of nice lights and a high level internal window all round for light and privacy.

Turn the big room around and split the window at the back. Then you get two rooms with windows.

You'd have to take out a large percentage of the rear wall of the original house to do this - would need careful (expensive) structural engineering (lots of steel) to make that work.
