Affordable areas in SW London?

Hi all,
I posted a while back about myself and my partner having recently bought our first home in Feltham, London. Whilst we realise how lucky we are to own our own home, we really aren’t happy in the area and are researching where we could potentially go next. We really want to stay in SW London within zone 5. We would need 3 bed house and a train into either Waterloo or Victoria for work. Our budget would be about 550k. Does anyone know any areas we should look at? My partner wants to move out to Surrey, but I don’t as it’s too far from my family and my commute would be very expensive .
Ive found the whole experience of buying and living in our first house really challenging and it’s affected my mental health badly and I’m now suffering with depression so please be kind. Thanks in advance

You might just find somewhere on that budget in Whitton, or the bit of Hounslow south of the train station, although it might be a bit tight, but somewhere requiring a bit of work could possibly be found. Whitton's a traditional sort of place with a decent range of amenities and a good train service to Waterloo.
But ou're unlikely to get find anywhere as affordable as Feltham (relatively speaking, that is. It's still a lot.). Some decent housing stock and excellent train service. It's just a shame that there are some... downsides.

Walton on Thames? Not far from you now, and direct into Waterloo. 3 beds from £450 ish.

What sort of property are you looking for? Any particular features? Is there a reason for SW other than commuting into Victoria or Waterloo? There are still quite a few parts of Zone 3-4-5 SE which have easy and direct trains to both and which are lovely areas.

New Malden? Worcester Park? You could definitely squeak a three bed house in those places for £550k although, again, it might need work.

No more like a three bed flat
