Bathroom colour scheme help!!

We have leak from our shower. Need to have shower taken out and replaced. Which means some of the tiles will get broken. We've tried to get the same ones so they can just add the ones they need as we only have 1 box spare in the garage which may not be enough. Problem is they're no longer made. We've tried EVERYWHERE.
We would really rather not have to re-tile the whole bathroom if possible, partly for cost and partly because we actually like them. Obviously we can't have ALMOST matching tiles. That would be the worst. So I'm half thinking about just retiling the shower a contrasting colour. But would that be weird? The main bathroom is 2/3 tiles (blue grey) with white walls and the shower is fully tiled. I'm thinking of having a deep navy shower, or maybe a terracotta. Could that work?
Thoughts and inspiration greatly appreciated.

I like the tiles that look like wooden planks. Have been in a few hotels where they have them and different tiles for the rest of the bathroom and it looks great.

Thanks. Yes I quite like that look as well. Do you think it would work though? This is our current colour

There are thin slat ones and wider plank. I wonder if the thinner ones would go best with those tiles. Topps does one called Skandi slat oak that could be good.

Thanks. I'll have a look

You can add different or patterned tiles with similar undertone (look at fired earth or bert & may for inspo). You can also add a shower panel, which may not look the best but is very cost effective.

Pale, pastel pink.
why isn’t pink used more for bathrooms? Pink and white has unusual benefits of being both “clean”, warm and calming

yet we all avoid it as colour in our homes to not be too feminine, girly or 90s

just saying!

I think you would do better to rip off the old and get a complete retile. It will be much less work and will look better.

Also, consider my advice to use surface-mounted shower with chromed or stainless surface-mounted pipes. Much sadness occurs when a wall has to be ripped open to repair or replace the plumbing.

BTW, Aqualisa Round-Bodied mixers, which are exceptionally good, can be serviced or have a new cartridge fitted, from the front, without ripping tiles off.
