Window film 5cm too narrow - how to fill gap?

My conservatory windows consist of three panels 65cm wide (and 200cm high).

I have seen some blue window film that would suit the room perfectly, but the widest sold is only 60cm wide, leaving 2.5cm each side and I need to cover that as I don't want any visibility through the windows (nosy neighbours).

Anyone got any ideas as to how I could infill those two x 2.5cm blank spaces each side?

Thanks in advance

Ether black border that will match the black rubber seal on the beading
or plain white border to match conservatory

Do you mean some sort of plastic tape like they use for electrics?

Tbh I'd look for another supplier. Bodge jobs will always look like bodge jobs.

Are you looking to create privacy, block the sunlight or something else?

I have looked at every possible supplier and nobody sells them in a 65 wide. I was hoping to avoid cutting as I always make a total mess of anything "crafty".

This place seems to do custom sizes. I agree with PP that messing around with it might look a bit Blue Peter.

Can you link to the one you want? See if we can identify another size option?

Look up how to splice it properly - you basically overlap it and cut both layers together. It should create an almost invisible join. Ideally do it symmetrically on the window, it "disappears" more. If you did 2 pieces with a joint in the middle you could cover the join with a very minimal narrow strip in eg black or white.

I can see the sizes quite clearly.

Window films come in widths of 45 and 60 and some in 75 and 90. None ever come in a 65.

I cannot imagine how I could cut both layers together for a 200cm length!

It's commonly done floor to ceiling on wallpaper - it just takes a ruler, a Stanley knife and understanding the technique. But of course up to you.

So just buy the 75 and cut it on the glass. I thought you were saying they didn't make it wide enough at all.

I used Brume for custom cut window film:

I've also used Brume for custom fit. Message them your requirements and see if they can sort it.

Yes this. You'll get a better fit this way too - it's hard to get it mm perfect up against all 4 edges (and one you'll need to cut anyway).
