Garden Furniture Paint

I’d like to refresh our tired wooden garden table, and rather than just staining it, I fancy going for a bold coloured paint instead.

I’ve seen that Ronseal, Rust-Oleum and Frenchic all do garden paints with a good range of colours, amongst other choices.

Does anyone have any experience with exterior wood paint and could recommend one? Either these brands or another one, as long as there’s a good range of bolder colours?

I like Cuprinol shades, did my bench in willow, it’s held up well. I recently used Frenchic alfresco and that’s holding up just as well.

I love the Farrow and Ball exterior eggshell, the colour range is fantastic and what painting I have done looks great a couple of years later. I did use their primer as well, I prefer it to Dulux, although it's a lot pricier.

I used rustoleum on some plastic/metal furniture recently and it gives a nice Matt finish and went on easily. I used their spray cans for a wooden table and it wasn’t great, hasn’t left the nicest finish and I needed 2 cans (£30!) for a 2 person table. It was easy to use though!
I've used Cuprinol garden shades for wooden poles before and the colours were lovely and the paint lasted well.

I've used cuprinol and frenchic alfresco for outside wood. Both are good. Cuprinol has lasted 5 years so far, no need to repaint. I used Frenchic 4 years ago and it needs repainting this year.

This is great - thank you! Now to decide whether to go for a green, or something a bit more strikingSmile
