What flooring for upstairs bathroom? Suggestions please.

I am creating a bathroom upstairs from a former small bedroom and wondering what flooring to use. The plumber suggested vinyl cushion floor as it's the cheapest, easiest option but obviously it is my decision.

I really don't fancy stick down sheet vinyl as I think it looks cheap and isn't durable. I will have to have extra work done to prepare the floor for whatever I choose. The plumber said that LVT isn't that durable long term as it's not completely waterproof and can 'lift'. I don't believe this as it is marketed as waterproof and if the floor is properly prepared should be alright?

So what have you got on your upstairs bathroom floor and why did you choose it?

My en-suite has lvt and it’s fabulous. It’s been down for about three years now and looks brand new. After about 6 months of having it dd2 got norovirus and vomited all over it. Then my roof had a leak and it got wet every time it rained so it’s definitely had a lot of use.

Marmoleum. It's brilliant..comes.as a sheet and can be sanded gently if it gets damaged.

I got oak wood effect tiles (they're the shape of wooden planks not square tiles) and I'm getting them again in my new house too.

Vinyl tiles.
We have had ceramic tiles before and never again. Even with vast amounts of floor prep, the grout goes and they start to wobble.

I have LVT and it's been brilliant. It has lifted and may well need replacing in two years, but it has lasted 8 years and still looks good. It doesn't look cheap and I have the fake wood flooring type in bleached look wood. It's a very steamy bathroom as well, even though it's huge.

LVT I have Altro Aquarius is my bathroom.
PolyflorCamaro in my kitchen/ lounge/ diner.
Both fantastic.

I also have Altro Aquarius in both bathrooms and the kitchen. It is contract so hard-wearing and is non slip. I would recommend it, but it does need a specialist to install it properly.

We have the same in a flat, despite having a board laid underneath to apparently stop movement. The grout cracked multiple times. I don't know if it was movement or the grout at that place?

We've since moved and had several bathrooms to renovate. We have ceramic tiles here with underfloor heating. The grout though is a resin type- not the cheaper, concrete type typically used. So far, so good and no mould either.
