Hello, does anyone has knowledge on how the OSMO oil 3044 Raw should look like. Mine look like this (oak floor), I think the builder forgot to wipe the floor leaving white marks... What do you think?

It shouldn't look like that... This is my pine floor with Osmo Raw

Yep. Raw is actually tinted with a tiny bit of white so the wood retains the light look rather than go darker with oiling. That’s just had too much applied at once. Possibly going to be a bit of a bugger to fix because if you just white spirit those bits off and reapply the Osmo it could end up a bit patchy. The builder needs to redo it. Osmo is a fantastic product but you need to use it sparingly and do several layers rather than ladle it on too thickly.

@PinkCamelias how many layer did you use? was it one or two and if 2 were they both of the Osmo raw?

@Lolakath19 I cannot remember if the builder used one or two layers of Raw, sorry... But the lawyer applied was very thin and any white marks removed immediately. Then a layer of Osmo Clear was applied, for a slightly satin finish.

I think it looks fine. My engineered oak kitchen floor looks similar maybe a bit darker after 15 years but it started out like that with the whitish oil finish. I wouldn't panic.

It is definitely a white tint to it and it has no sheen at all, it's very Matt. I did 2 layers of raw and one of satin to give a sheen.
