New build heat pump not installed correctly

background: I bought a new build from
(what they call themselves) a premium builder 2022.

My heat pump heating has been not working for 2.5 years. Its duel fuel so have gas also. Turns out have been heating flooded pipes with the heat pump under the house. I complained since moved in during the snagging that the heating/water was not effectively heating up.
Various contractors came but no one seemed to understand the system.
Later it turns out that the heating pump is not installed correctly and the underground pipes are flooded. This was discovered last October and still they have not fixed it. They have agreed to fix it but they don’t have the equipment yet to drain out etc there is no urgency.
i feel pretty agreived as house was expensive by market standards. Would I have a case to sue them for losses financial( heating water pipes) and also lack of enjoyment as been cold for two years. House supposed to be efficient due to heat pump.

thanks

It’s completely understandable that you feel aggrieved—this is a serious issue that should have been resolved long ago, especially given the cost of your home and the expectations of efficiency with a heat pump system.
Legally, you may have a case for financial losses (such as increased heating costs due to the faulty system) and potentially for loss of enjoyment, as the home has not provided the comfort it was supposed to.

Thanks would I need a lawyer for this? Can I use one associated with my house insurance?
