Going to be around 2 months with a sink (could be even 3 😭) how have you managed whilst refurbishing the kitchen without a sink to dish the dishes/pans?

I was looking for a temporal something in Amazon but they’re a bucket or something worth £200.

do you have a dishwasher that can get an inlet pipe? even if it is a hose from the garden. we had 10 days with no kitchen sink but the dishwasher still got water. we put the dishwasher outlet pipe into a bucket and found that you have to watch and empty the bucket once mid-cycle, but you can otherwise run the dishwasher as normal. so all the washing up went in the dishwasher for that week.

No dishwasher (reason why we are refurbishing the kitchen 😂)

Will you have water in the bathroom? I just used a washing up bowl which I filled from a bathroom tap. We also had a temporary kitchen to cook with so it was more sandwiches/ soup/ pasta than roast dinners to wash up from. You could also get some recycled disposable plates.

We did about two months without a proper sink. Had to wash up in plastic washing basin in the downstairs toilet sink. It's not fun, but it's doable. I'd recommend getting some melamine plates and then just limiting the amount of pans you use. Friend of mine did wash his pots and pans in the shower, which might work for you!

Get a camping stand with a bowl cut out, try marketplace or ebay.

In a washing up bowl in the bath. We used an extra washing up bowl for a drainer and a step stool to elevate the bowl a bit. Melamine plates, as @Ecthelionsaid, made a surprising difference.

In hindsight I wonder if a new B&Q bucket might do the job well, hold a bit more and be easier to carry up the stairs.

We just washed up in the bath for a couple of months. Was quite annoying and hurt my back but was fine. Just try not to cook stuff that uses a million dishes!
