Would a walk in shower fit here?

Not sure of the measurements, it’s currently just a storage cupboard in the bathroom. The bathroom needs a complete referb so wondering if it looks like a small walk in shower would fit if into this space?

Looks like it would. Assuming the entrance door to the room is standard sized then that is probably 75ish cm so the cupboard would be similar, so you could get a small cubicle, but would probably feel small by today's standards where they are usually 90-100cm.

I wouldn't. We stayed somewhere with a small walk-in shower. Once in the shower you could barely turn around and your elbows kept hitting the sides.

Try it in a bath shop, but you have to do the actions of washing yourself, (including washing your feet) so pick a quiet time as you will look pretty silly...!

You could change the bathroom door to outward opening, which should give you more room to manoeuvre.

Do you mean walk in as in no door or just a separate shower cubical?

Teasall · 19/02/2025 20:52

It looks like it would, especially if that's a full size bathtub, but it would really depend upon the actual measurements.

If there is plenty of room I would make a few more changes though otherwise I think it would look a bit cramped on that wall.

For example, you could move the bath 90 degrees so that it was under the window, then put the toilet between the bath and shower and the basin on the opposite wall with maybe a towel rail next to it behind the door.

Hope that makes sense.

Looks like you have more than enough space to fit a wall in shower. Just move the bath and basin/toilet around (bath under the window).

MH0084 · 19/02/2025 20:55

You could also put the bath in the opposite wall and add a bi-fold door.
lots of possibilities.

LIZS · 19/02/2025 20:58

You could but would suggest you swap position with current bath

CanOfMangoTango · 19/02/2025 20:59

Agree with PP you could probably get a proper cubicle if you moved the bath to under the window

Get a corner shower, so with a curved front, we've got one in a similar space, works a treat.
