Replacing bathtub with walk in shower

Current bathtub surface is elevated from the floor so it always feels like we are stepping on to sort of stage. The ceiling above is slanted and head touches right into celling when stood straight.

I want to replace it with walk in shower with shower tray as thin as possible to leave more room for the ceiling.

Bathtub is 170*70 cm size and I am looking for exact size of walk in shower tray and frame.

Came across few with same dimension and sliding door which may be ideal fit. However I am not so sure how the frame will fit on the side where there is little window.

The wall is not as wide as the bathtub where the window is and this leaves the half of the door frame not supported.

What do I need to cover that area to have frame fixed in it? or do you have any other suggestions ?

I hope I clarified my issue well enough.

Cheers.

Yes the frame would need to fix to something that end. Not sure how you get past that. Might be best talking to a bathroom company and see what they suggest.
There must be a reason the bath is raised, probably to do with the waste or water feed, have you had the bath panel off the take a look? You may not be able to have a lowered shower tray if the plumbing is in the way.

As above, you need to check the plumbing. If the waste is above ground you won't be able to lower the tray easily. Perhaps check that out first so you know if it's possible.

We are planning g ours now. We are not having a door, just a short, fixed screen 800mm ant the shower end and a flipper screen. The flipper screen can rotate for access and then be flat to protect for splashes.

Yes I would agree with this suggestion. I have a full length shower tray that replaced a bath, fixed screen with a flipper panel, no water on the floor from splashing, also I think it feels much nicer and less closed in than a sliding door

This is an example
Basically it one fixes to one wall and isn't full length of the tray but the flipper panel helps to prevent splashes on the floor and if you need more room to get in or out depending on room layout, can get them in different lengths too

A flipper panel sounds ideal, but don’t forget that if you have to have the full
length frame you could reduce the size of the window- extra cost, but it can be done. We narrowed our landing window when we had the loft extension as it looked awful having the stairs cutting across part of the window.

Yeah this could be a good option rather than having fixed sliding door panels. Only thing with this is that I have to consider options where fixed part of this frame is narrow as possible to avoid shower entrance moving more towards WC side and keep it more central.

Edited

It should fix to the wall your current panel fixes to
The length of the panels differ so if you measure the wall to where you have enough clearance to walk in without having to squeeze past the toilet you should be able to find one
