Combi Oven instead of regular oven

I’m renovating my gran’s old flat to rent. Very very small: 1.65m one side; then pantry; then a nook with the sink and washing machine.

On the long side - there is currently a freestanding fridge, free standing oven and a thin cupboard on the bottom.

Would I be mad to not have a regular oven at all, but have an eye-level combi oven microwave? Like this one:
Combi

If it were my personal residence - I would because:
a) saves counter top space by not needing microwave. Right now - there is basically zero prep space - with kettle/toaster / microwave.
b) the flat is single occupancy size - the oven is bigger than you’ll ever need
c) Then I can fit a practical chunky drawer unit.

However:
a) As you can see by the link - the combis are priced like microwave+oven. Whereas normally I wouldn’t be spending on a microwave in a rental
b) Combi likely to break much sooner - because microwaves typically only last 5 years
c) It’s an unexepcted design - for both the kitchen fitter and the tenant.

Best case rental income £1,000 PCM. Likely below this.

WWYD?

(Also - same question for hot water tap - but I think I’ve talked myself round that this is a bad idea for a rental)

I've got a combi oven and a full oven. Unless I'm catering for a crowd, my big oven is only used for storing baking trays. To be honest it's the microwave part I use least. There are lots of programmes where you can used combined functions but I find them a bit of a waste of time. I just use either the convection oven or microwave or grill. They're a great money saver and I don't know why so many people use a big oven for heating just one small item.

Mine is 10 years old, a Panasonic. No issues in fitting, exactly the same as a microwave.

Apologies for the repeat post, my tablet is on a go slow this afternoon.

We have a Combi microwave oven as well as a normal oven and I have to say it is very convenient for cooking for one or two instead of heating up the main oven and wasting all that energy. My DS will often use it for a quick meal before he goes to work, so for a single person renting that flat I would say it’s ideal if you need space saving ideas.

My other DS had one in his studio flat at uni last year and he managed fine too.

Voted for a combi; also commenting to say, depending on how you’re decorating/who the likely tenant might be, could an Our Place Wonder Oven could be a draw? I love how they look so much, can imagine someone being really sold on it. Just a thought/an excuse for me to look at them again

Oh - those are so wonder ovens are cute! No counter top in my case though -m

Love our combi oven. Came with our house. Use the microwave all the time but it’s great that it saves space.

im very anti hot water tap though, awful for the environment and unnecessary

I don't like combis but that might be because the ones we had were more microwave than oven. Primary issue being they were very annoying to use and e.g. I accidentally microwaved a baking tray when it was meant to be on the oven setting. (Issue being you had to either set a timer or press cancel but if you did both it turned back into a microwave). It also didn't have multiple shelves so baking was a nightmare.

So if you can get over that's not like that I expect it would be fine. Otherwise just get a normal oven.

Some of the reviews complained that the combis had a safety feature where they would turn off if the door was opened in either mode - and if you didnt press start again your food would stop cooking

this would be super annoying in an oven / bug I guess not all of them are like this
