Need to paint bedroom furniture- please inspire me!

I’m hoping you lovely, stylish MNetters can help me.
I’m selling my house (large Edwardian semi) and have a north facing bedroom where I’ve repainted the walls magnolia - very neutral and safe, I know!
However, there are built in wardrobe doors, and low cupboard/chest of drawers thing that could do with painting and I have no idea what colours to go for especially as the rug that covers the floor is quite dominant.

I would just leave them, if selling. Just make sure they're clean.

You could prop a large mirror, place a plant or hang a painting on the wall beside the cupboards.

I’d paint them white if anything, most people live with white woodwork

Thanks.
The cupboard/drawers is going to go in the gap next to the wardrobe but it is in another room waiting to be painted. I’m going to take it with me.

I’d concentrate on painting the doors in your picture white first to give a fresh feel, and I’d also paint furniture you’re taking white for now for that room. You can change later in your new place. With the read carpet/rug and magnolia walls you need to brighten it up. Just done the same myself for fixed cupboards and for furniture I’m taking and have sold STC, good luck

I would also just leave the doors as they are. The new owners can paint or replace as they wish.

I'd maybe get a neutral rug or remove it for the photos if the floor boards underneath are in good condition.

Leave them. The new owners will just come in and pull them out anyway. No point wasting your time.

I think some people can imagine what it would be like with white furniture or whatever, and some people can’t. So if you want to narrow your market and maybe take longer to sell, then don’t bother. But if you want to give your property the best chance of selling i believe in doing the easy cheap things. And I have just sold a property after painting lots of things white. Also depends on if it’s likely to appeal to first time buyers or not. On average they are likely to be most put off by things that look like a lot of work, even if it’s just decorating, and some people just go by the feel of the place, so if it’s bright and white and freshly painted it gives a good vibe to most people
