IKEA Kitchen Fitters London

has anyone had their kitchen installed by the IKEA recommend company in London? What is your experience? They have been fitting a floor for me, the pre installation visit guy said the floor was really uneven and they were going to have to level it. The quote was high but based on what the pre installation guy said I was happy that they were going to even out the floor. They haven’t, and when they laid the floor they forgot / didn’t use a protective membrane needed for the concrete floor. They have bought new floorboards to fix their mistake and have said they will get someone to redo the floor where they messed up- but they have not agreed to take up the whole floor and level it as was agreed in the initial visit.
Today we asked for help to get this sorted before we paid the next invoice. To which they replied that we were dishonest and they would withhold any further work til we paid. This is our 4th week without a proper kitchen So I paid the bill but I’m really struggling to understand what I can do? Has anyone had a similar experience or have you had the best experience with this company?
I feel duped as the pre installation visit guy was so clear and we got a lot more work done than just the kitchen cabinets as he was so passionate about the quality of their work 😔

Did you need a new floor? I would probably have got a specialist flooring company for that. We have a quarry tike floor in the cottage and no way would we mess with thus original feature to even it up. It's the units they adjust, not the floor

We had our kitchen fitted by Ikea about 6 years ago. One of the high cupboards fell off the wall recently. it wasn't fitted properly at all. The fitter just attached it to the plasterboards and not the studs in the wall, he obviousl didn't even try to find them as the studs were only about 4cm from the holes he made. I hate to say it but the rest of the kitchen is pretty poorly fitted too. We definitely wouldn't use them again.

We wanted a new floor as the two rooms had different flooring so we wanted it all the same. We had a few quotes from good flooring company’s but the building company said they would level the floor and put down a wooden floor, they were charging twice the amount of the reputable floor company but the pre install visit guy said the floor needed to be leveled and we trusted that was what they were going to do - which they didn’t . Other floor company’s quoted to do the floors and quoted much less. They came today and fixed an issue with the floor but it’s still not level 🤨

Oh no! That’s awful sorry to hear that. I’ve had two Ikea kitchens in my life so far both have been brilliant, I’m just frustrated at the installation company- and don’t see a lot about them online in terms of reviews
