Removing and replacing laminate flooring question

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone could advise please as can't seem to find an answer online.

Im looking at buying a house (have zero DIY skills, live far away and need to move promptly so will have to hire a professional on all fronts).

I'm weighting up two properties. I wanted to remove and replace the laminate flooring downstairs on one but has got me thinking that the removal of laminate is likely to be a lot more than removing carpets? Would people who have experience in the area say this is correct? The lounge is 3.65x4.66 approx and dining is 1.45x2.90 approx. Is this likely to be very costly? I'm very tight on budget and I'm shocked at how much just laying laminate flooring down costs so the removal might tip it over the edge.

I can work out the cost of putting down flooring (not via myself but via professional) but hadn't factored in removal costs.

The other house I'm looking at has carpet so don't feel that would be so costly to removal and replace with laminate.

Could anyone advise on this please?

Thanks for your help!

It just clicks together...:just remove it yourself

Thanks. For various reasons it's not something I could do myself.

I've taken mine up, area slightly bigger than what you've described. It took me less than 2 hours to pull up and stack and around 4 trips to the tip to dispose of it. I'm really not sure how helpful that is to you except to say it's an easy job and shouldn't cost to much for someone to do it.

It didn't take me any longer to remove laminate than it did to remove carpet, so whoever you have to pay to do it (no skills required) shouldn't charge any extra.

That's very helpful, thank you!
