Butler sink - bad idea?

Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations for a really good quality 800cm ceramic single butler sink with a thick glaze but quite squared edges so it doesn't taper or curve away from the kitchen unit.

It sounds like quality matters when it comes to butler sinks and I'm worried that it will chip or crack if I don't get a good one. I've read lots of pretty mixed reviews online but I haven't really seen recommendations from those who are happy with theirs.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions / insights - I'm not sure if it's a bad idea, but I do think it would go so nicely with the shaker kitchen we're getting, and I definitely wouldn't go for stainless steel. Many thanks!

I loved mine, it lasted 23 years with a couple of tiny chips in the bottom. I still have it but in the garden with herbs in. I really wanted another when we replaced the kitchen but decided to go for a black one instead. It was from a company which made bathroom ceramics, but sadly they no longer do the kitchen sinks. If you do decide to go for it, do get a silicone sink protector for in the bottom, stops any marks or accidental chips.

We've had two in two houses and been very happy. I think we got ours from here https://eastcoastkitchens.co.uk/661-800mm

I use this in the bottom to protect it. https://www.inderkitchen.co.uk/Shaws-of-Darwen-800mm-Rectangular-Bowl-Grid

We also have an Insinkerator, so we don't have to faff around emptying the draining basket, which I highly recommend.
