Unnatural Flooring Carpet

Have any of you bought carpet from Unnatural flooring? How have you found it after time?

I am contemplating it for our stairs and landing. However I do end up having to clean our carpets a few times a year due to kids and dogs. Just wondering how they hold up to dirt, carpet washing/cleaning occasionally and general wear and tear.

Would love to see any pics if you have any.

I just had it installed. UNNATURAL FLOORING The Isles Herringbone Flatweave Carpet colour Tresco:

PROS
its beautiful and feels lovely under foot

CONS

  • SUPPLY ISSUES AND DELAYS: the retailer measured up in June for a mid July installation. Just before the due date, they cancelled stating manufacturer delays. Lots of back and forth resulted in us changing the carpet just so it would get done sooner. They finally came two weeks later but only had enough carpet to partially install one room (so we might as we’ll have waited for our original selection) We were left with a chunky of carpet missing and an exposed edge left there for over a month until the rest of it arrived and obviously the inconvenience of not being able to put any furniture back in the room.
  • JOINS: because of the width of the room we needed a join. We were told that the fitters were ‘really good at doing the joins’ and it should still look right and blend in albeit that they couldn’t guarantee that it would be invisible, so I appreciated there was a risk, but thisbis way beyond what I was expecting. The join is VERY visible and frayed edges started appearing from the moment of installation. The retailer came to take a look and told me that actually my join was ‘great’ and as good as can be expected.
  • NO MANUFACTURER BACKING: accepting that I’m no expert, I called the manufacturer to see if they could look at photos and provide an objective view as to whether that was rhe best that could be expected from their carpets. Inbelievably, they told me that 1) they just sell them, they aren’t fitters so can’t offer any opinion on whether a particular job has been done properly or could have been done better. 2) they don’t want to get involved by providing even an objective opinion because it might risk upsetting the retailer because that’s who their customer is(!!!!) SO BE WARE, BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE, I HAVE TO DEDUCE THAT UNNATURAL FLOORING DO NOT VALUE THE EXPERIENCE OF THE END USER AND ARE MORE CONCERNED WITH KEEPING THE RETAILER HAPPY. I wish I’d known this before and hold my hands up to the fact that I should have been more thorough in my research. This is by far the most expensive carpet I’ve ever bought and also the least satisfied I’ve ever been. I just fell in love with the pictures. At my age, I should know better!!
My advice is to do your research, make sure it’s going to work for your space and don’t expect manufacturer backing. If I’d known how things were going to unfold for me I would not have gone ahead. Good luck!

We got the isles too - fitter said it was a very stiff carpet and very hard to fit - twice the normal time. We're happy with the result but it's only been down about a month. The underlay needs to be quite firm - firmer than the stuff our retail recommended!

That's all really helpful and a lot of food for thought. I still haven't bought carpet as cant decide, so this will be helpful. Luckily it's only for stairs and a small landing area so we wouldn't have joins not in any rush.

does it actually feel nice on your feet, even bare feet?
