Laminate flooring

We had vinyl fitted throughout a bungalow we are renovating which has had underfloor hearing installed ( powered by an LPG boiler). Parts of the vinyl have started lifting - the floor fitters are saying that the heating engineers are at fault for turning the heat up too high too quickly and the heating engineers are disagreeing. Whatever happens as far as the dispute is concerned, we need to have the floor re-laid. The floor fitters have said that if we go for vinyl again, they can't guarantee it wont happen again ( something to do with moisture in the foundations being forced up by the too high heating). They have suggested laminate. However, I've heard that laminate can be slippery and as the property is to be occupied by our disabled son, this would be concerning. We can't afford wooden floors. Any advice, especially in the bathroom?

Photos might be useful as well as more detail regarding how it's been installed. Is there an expansion gap around the edge of the room? Is glued down or is it 'floating'?

Glued down and yes, there's an expansion gap.

We have karndean fitted over an UFH system and no issues although we were advised to leave a few days before turning it on after fitting.
When looking into options, the vinyl was one of the better ones for the effectiveness of the heating as heat can get "lost" in the gap under a floating floor like laminate so that's something to consider.
