Wetroom as only family (small!)bathroom?

We are needing to replace our bathroom. It's a tiny space. About 6 ft by 6 ft. Husband wants a wetroom. I'm not sure. I just keep thinking water everywhere! Anybody have any experience of this? Thank you 😊

Nightmare ime, especially as so small. You will get soggy feet if you need the loo after someone showers, unless you are prepared to go through lots of towels to dry off the floor after each shower, a squeegee really won’t be enough.

I have Wetroom.
Choose the best professional and they will ensure the best drainage possible , using a pump if necessary
Mine was fitted with a grant but obviously the same applies
Walls are tanked and floor is heat sealed and never any water left
I have Altro flooring and wall tiles
IMO it makes the most of the small area

Not great ime.

After someone has showered the floor is wet. You need shoes or at a minumim flip flops to go the loo afterwards

Also you need to make sure the second person showering has somewhere dry to put their towel.

Where will you get dressed and put your dry clothes/towels?
How old are your children, if they are young enough you need to help them then you'll get all wet.

I hate the ones ive been in, mostly in campsites, and even the family bathroom the water travelled so that it was all wet around the toilet and basin. HOWEVER, it is worth looking at designs as apparently if they are done right you can still have a wall around the shower area, it just means there is no separate tray or sill to step over. Which is great for accessibility if you have older or disabled relatives visiting.

@Onlyvisiting
This is the set up I have, and as I said upthread, it's the drainage which is the most import aspect( I'm disabled)
