Does anyone know roughly how much it costs to make good a wall after a new socket for plugs has been installed?

Have they just put plugs into the wall or have wires been channelled etc? If just making good around the socket then a fiver and 20 mins of your time. If you’re covering channels cut in plaster and brick then more info needed.

You can do it yourself using gypro easifill. I get pack of 5 x 1kg bags from toolstation

Ok in that case I’d be putting pvc conduit around the cables and then your choice of filler over the top. The plastic conduit is about a tenner for 3 meters, so do the maths on that depending on how many channels you have. Filler is variable in cost but as per the above cheap enough. You’d need a smoothing tool as well if you don’t have one which is about a fiver. If 3 meters of channels for arguments sake then I’d cost it at about £30-£40 of materials / equipment. If you’re paying someone to do it then they’ll probably want a morning or afternoon out of it. Something a handyman can do for you at whatever the going hourly rate is round your way rather than needing a plasterer.
