Bath resurfacing. Success anyone?

We have an original (stained)1930s bath and tiles and would like to keep both.
Has anyone had experience of having a bath resurfaced?
Has it been successful?
Fair few advertising the service but we don't know anybody who has has it done.
We read reviews of the paint yourself pots and they aren't great.
We are in South Yorkshire.

We had it done years ago, it was a metal bath and a new one would’ve been cheaper. But it was worth every penny and they did a great job, it was messy/dusty and took a whole day to do.

I loved that bath.

We had our bath resurfaced (because it was blue but a great size and enamelled metal), they did a good job, but our builders dropped a tile onto one corner and chipped the enamel within weeks, so we painted hammerite over the chipped bit (ironically with blue hammerite!)

That was 15 years ago and no further damage has befallen the enamel since.

Following as it's something we have thought of having done.

Thanks. It's really good to hear a success story.
I'd asked on our neighbours group and got 1 reply saying theirs had started to peel after a year.

Oops! I imagine there was some cursing by the builder.
15 years and still good sounds great thanks.
Hoping someone will be able to recommend a company in our area.

Going strong 16 years later

I have a friend who got hers done and I was surprised how good it looked.
