Small 1930 bathroom 'accent wall' ...help!

I have a 1930 house with a small upstairs bathroom.

I need to replace the basin, toilet, vanity and cupboard/mirror that were added in the 1990s (too big for that space & some damage) by previous owners.

I want to keep the original Art Deco tiles on the walls but unfortunately one wall will need to be completely redecorated when things are taken out. The handyman and plumber who will be doing the job told me it will be hard to match the tiles so I better think about going for a contrasting 'accent wall' instead.

I am struggling for ideas of what that could look like. The original 1930 tiles are white background with blue/pink/gold designs.

I have decorated the rest of my house in a vintage/boho style already.

Any idea of what I could go for? wall paper (not sure what type I would need to use in a bathroom)? plain wall tiles that borrow one colour from the existing one, such as blue?

Any ideas/links to online designs would be much appreciated.

I am really struggling with that final room!

Can you share a photo of the original tiles?

Mini modern have a wallpaper that is pink with gold flying birds on it which sounds like a good match and looks really fab up
have also seen a deco pink/gold shell pattern.. could be little green? could be john Lewis?

Or I would paint... Theres lots of nice pinks at the moment.... F&b and little greene have a few ...

Or if you tile maybe pick 1 accent colour ... But i think i would paper or paint as easier to change so more options

What about mirror tiles, these would reflect the tiled walls.

What else will go on that wall? If it doesn't need to be tiled, I would be tempted to paint it one of the colours in the art deco tiles and then if there is room add a print that ties into the original tiles.

Wallpaper in a bathroom is not very practical IMO

I would go with either plain tiles or paint (eggshell) that matches one colour in the vintage tiles. Paint will be easier to find a good match, unless you choose white.

@Startingagainandagain I think I would totally avoid wallpaper or more tiles. If you don’t need anything against the wall, then what’s wrong with bathroom paint? Pick out a slight sheen (eg F&B modern emulsion) and then see what colour goes with the tiles. Another busy wall makes no sense to me. You could paint the ceiling in the same colour.

Also do you plan any storage or a radiator! What about towel rail? Break up the wall with a mirror?

Thank you everyone for the replies so far!

So this is the wall where I will put a new vintage mirror and small wall cupboard and underneath go the basin and toilet with a bathroom vanity covering the plumbing.

So the surface of wall that will be left exposed is the one where the mirror and small cupboards will be.

The rest of that bathroom is a walk-in shower and one window. It is a small space :).

I attach a pic of the existing tiles. Some are plain white and others have this decorations:
