Utility planning - could this work?

I'm wondering if I've solved the problem of fitting both a wm/td AND a toilet into a long narrow space but I need a sanity check.
The room is 2.5m x 1.3m. I'm in Scotland so I need 0.8m x 1.1m activity space infront of the toilet and there is highly unlikely to be any wriggle room on this.
Could I stack the appliances on a plinth and have the toilet infront?
Could this actually work in practice?
TIA

I think they'd look better stacked on top of each other. You can have a drawer shelf installed between them to put the laundry basket on.

Why not stack them next to the loo (there seems to be some ghost appliance there in the photo so sorry if I’m missing something!). We have a stacked washer and dryer and no issues at all. But I wouldn’t want them up like that behind the loo, I couldn’t bring myself to use the loo if they’re on as what if they fall and crush me, I’d want them on solid ground.

We've got this, it works really well. We have ours stacked on top of each other with a proper support thing to hold the dryer in place (its on the top)

OP -one thing to think about if you put the washer up there is how you'll empty the filter etc when it comes time to cleaning it, I can see that being an issue

@Fleasies
Thank you so much for your suggestion. I really think that might work! (and it removes all risk of clean socks falling on toilet brushes!)

To answer some other questions, there is no way of changing the door opening. The stairs run up the long side. We would be adding a new toilet to what is currently essentially a cupboard space.
I did discover I was initially using a short projection toilet in my plans which is why I was going round in circles to meet the required utility space. I think I now have options and lots of food for thought. Thanks all!

I think the little wall addition between toilet and washing machine is a great idea. Apparently there is no issue with plus in a utility with toilet and sink but if there was a shower or bath the plug would need to be 3m away.

Just one extra thing. You will want the washing machine and dryer hinged on the same side - hinged on the left. Most brands hinge with washing machine one side and dryer on the other, for them to be next to each other. Some machines can have the opening changed but not all.

i messed up with this (and gave my brand new Bosch dryer to my DS as a house warming pressie as a consequence 😀) so have a Bosch washer and AEG dryer.

Also if it’s a stud wall, you could build a nook shelf into it to hold all the toilet paper.

If you do go for the wall idea, try to make it the minimum width possible so you have more space to get the appliances into position. It will be awkward since you won’t be able to rotate them but hopefully not impossible.
