Updates on anyone with a Pineland/Solid Pine Kitchen?

We’re looking at kitchens for our house, hoping it’ll last us for as LONG as possible (25 years +!). Have researched White Kitchen Company and had an enormous quote for £37k (£55k including their units and installation etc), HMKC came in at £11.5k (not including worktops), and have just found out about Pineland and Furniture Nation.

I was.wondering if anyone has experience of these solid pine kitchens a few years in? I’ve read terrible things about the wood being too soft and denting very easily.

Although the price of HMKC is super appealing, the door panel and carcass is MDF which I worry about swelling if we were ever to get a leak.

Thank you very much!

I've got a pineland kitchen. It is over 10 years old and has proved pretty indestructable as its solid pine. Its stooid up to DCs and dogs and us being generally horrible to it. It is kind of free standing in that each unit is a solid pine bit of furniture. We have repainted it a few times and it looks fine. But we aren't bothered by the odd dent etc as it goes with our aesthetic.

Ours arrived unpainted (just primed) and doesn't have drawer runners. If I were to get one now, I would opt for drawer runners and get it spray painted by pineland.

@BurntThePastaAgain what did you decide to go for? I've just got a quote from Pineland and can't believe how much lower it is. I want a solid wood kitchen.
