Does this bath exist?

Hi,

Currently renovating and I swear I'm searching for a bath that doesn't exist (or if it does, I can't find it). Need a straight, 1500mm x 700mm bath and I'd love to have the taps in the middle. It's slotting into a space behind a steel beam and I don't want to have to keep leaning round/moving a shower screen to get to the taps. I bathe my toddler daily so I'd love to make it just a little bit easier/nicer for myself! I could put taps at the opposite end of the shower screen but we're having a shower over the bath and I think it would look odd if the bath taps were on the opposite end.

Can't have freestanding as the builder has advised against. It's going right up against the wall at both sides and he said it would be a nightmare to clean unless it was completely up to the wall.

I've been looking through Victoria plumbing/better bathrooms/drench/sanctuary/screwfix/b&q/wicked etc but am I missing any other bathroom places?!

Any help would be appreciated!

When I worked for a bathroom place a lot of the baths didn't come with the tap holes pre drilled as like the above post has shown, some people go for those wall taps or need them in the middle, best thing to do is go somewhere to have a look and asking if they come pre drilled or not

You could also consider wall mounted taps?

Get a three outlet valve and mount it onto the wall behind the bath instead. As you face our bath there's the overhead shower and shower screen on the left. And the valves and the handheld showerhead mounted on the wall to the right. So you don't have to reach behind the shower screen at all, even to turn the shower on (no cold water on the arm!). The water for the bath comes out of the same place as the overflow so there isn't a 'tap' at all. I love it!

A 1500 x 700 bath might not exist with middle tap hole(s) because it'd make the bathing space too narrow.

An alternative to the tap access/glass screen issue would be to get either a folding screen or a shower curtain instead of glass. The latter is what I have at home, and you can get really nice curtains these days; I have a linen one with a plastic liner.

We’ve got that exact model of bath from Victorian Plumbing, @Namesareimpossible, except 10mm longer and with taps at one end. It had to go up in one corner into the angle of the wall for space reasons and we just chose to have the taps at the end, but you could have them, as a pp said, coming out of the wall. Just wanted to confirm it’s a nice bath and feels good quality. Completed our bathroom renovation very recently.

A brill thanks everyone! You've given me loads to look at and think about. I (naively) didn't realise you can just put the taps in the middle of a single ended bath.

It's replacing the world's most oddly laid out bathroom with an obscenely huge corner bath that I hated so want to make sure I'm getting it right now we get to start from scratch!

I've just had to have a bath with central taps replaced because the tap was dripping. Modern taps need replacing when they drip and it was only possible to replace the taps by taking the bath out. Removing the bath unfortunately could have cracked it.
This apparently is a common issue with central taps so please check with the bathroom fitter as you could have expensive repairs in the future.

If I was buying a new bath I’d get a Japanese deep square one. Have taps where you choose. Omni baths. Expensive but look great. Made to order. Different shapes and sizes

We have taps at the other end-it actually looks fin and no one has even noticed! It was like that when we moved in and we liked it so much we just kept the same arrangement when we redid the bathroom.
