Are there any electricians on here that can help me urgently plz lol the switch in the middle won't go up at all, all my electrics have gone off apart from light switches and everytime I turn that switch up it goes back down to off. I've unplugged everything still not going back to on 😭

Electrics gone please help!

Switch the three switches to the right of the main switch down and then see if it will turn on.

Then turn it off and try each of those 3 switches in turn until you work out which one is tripping the RCD.

You have posted this more than once which means replies are being fragmented

The middle switch is an RCD which as the arrow shows, protects the circuits to the right.
Turn those MCB's off and the RCD should then stay in the on position. If this works, turn the MCB's on one at a time to see which circuit is causing the RCD to trip.
If you can isolate the fault to a specific circuit then you can then try to establish what the actual fault is.

Please excuse any wrong terminology, trying to type & remember what my OH told me.😆

As PP said, it's one of the 3 circuits on the right causing the RCD to trip - so either:

  • shower
  • bedroom
  • kitchen sockets

Push each of the 3 MCB on the right up.
Push the RCCB breaker up

Then:

  • pull the shower breaker down. If the RCCB doesn't trip then its not the shower circuit
  • pull the bedroom breaker down. If the RCCB doesn't trip then its not the bedroom circuit
  • pull the kitchen breaker down. If the RCCB doesn't trip then its not the kitchen circuit

If it is the shower circuit causing the trip, then assuming you have an electric shower - it has a fault

If its the bedroom or kitchen circuit - unplug everything on that circuit, reset the breaker and plug everything back in, one socket at a time. See what it tripping the RCD.

I'm guessing shower

This may sound daft but try pushing the middle switch down firmly before turning back up.

Just noticed what looks like a yellow button next to the switch, have you tried pressing that then resetting the switch? (you appear to have a relatively new consumer unit, mine doesn't have one of those buttons).

I’m betting washing machine! That’s always what trips mine.

OP come back and let us know

Have you definitely unplugged everything? No cooker of dishwasher plugs hidden in cupboards? Nothing plugged in behind a bed or table?

Was the washer or toaster running at the time it went off?
