I’m seeing such conflicting info online. Some say to avoid like the plague, others say they are hard to beat comfort wise. We will be visiting one of their showrooms at some point but the sales assistants are unlikely to admit to any negatives!

They look nice but my friend has one and I find it a bit low. But she loves it and she's had if for years now and would get another.

We hate ours.
Low and deep.
Cushions feel heavy and lumpy. Looks nice immediately after plumping but then within minutes of using it looks all shapeless and squished.
The fabric is nice.
We're considering getting the whole thing restuffed as the heavy feather cushions are just not comfortable.
But maybe this is throwing good money after bad? I haven't even found someone to quote for this.
Honestly it's the most expensive piece of furniture we've even bought and so we just put up with and complain (daily) to each other :(
It's been over six years.

Urgh, we had a Loaf sofa and really hated it. Corner sofa with feather filled cushions, constantly shedding feathers and needed plumping every 5 mins. Frame was falling apart after a few years of normal family use.

We've replaced it with one from Sofas & Stuff and it's night and day. So much more comfortable, seems much better built. The cushions are fibre-filled which might have something to do with it, but we would never buy from Loaf again!

We have one and would not recommend. Echoing other posters, it is deep so I am forever sat cross legged on it, it looks a mess the second you sit on it, forever plumping the cushions and several times a week we sit on it and say to each other 'I hate this sofa.' Would never get one again.

We purchased a REALLY expensive sofa which sags terribly and after only 1 sitting all 6 covers need to be puffed up after 1 or 2 sittings... including the long chaise cushion which is impossible for one person to do unless they drag it to the floor and stomp on it. We work 24/7 so admitedly we were late to complain but when we got around to it they hid behind a "no manufacturing fault" wall. Nothing of this was mentioned at point of sale. Be VERY careful. Just because you're paying for a professional service, this company really takes the micky and don't deliver as expected. Disappointing because you pay over the odds with Loaf, for sure.

I have a Loaf sofa. It's very well made, doesn't need plumping and the customer service was excellent. I have it in clever velvet with added insurance.

We spent a considerable amount on a sofa that, sadly, has proven to be poorly designed. After just one use, all six cushions lose their shape and need to be re-fluffed—especially the long chaise cushion, which is incredibly cumbersome to manage alone. You have to haul it onto the floor and stomp on it just to restore its form.
Due to our demanding schedules, we were late in raising our concerns. When we finally reached out, the company quickly fell back on the claim that there was “no manufacturing fault” and refused to acknowledge any design-related issues. While the flaw is clearly in the design, none of this was disclosed at the point of sale.
So a word of caution: once the statutory period passes, there’s no flexibility—even at Loaf-level prices. Be sure to ask the right questions before you commit.

We bought ours five years ago and love it. It’s survived daily greyhound zoomies and despite being bright orange velvet, is still in pretty good nick.

I think it's a case of 1. if you like the shaggy look with deflated cushions and 2. if you don't, then get to them URGENTLY because they don't give you any leeway out of the statutory dates.
