Detached house viewing

Hi everyone, i posted earlier this week about noise problems with my semi detached house so i decided to take action.

Ive been to see view the detached property i mentioned. I loved it apart from one thing.

You cannot walk all the way around it.

The left hand side of the property has a gate on it between both the detached house and next door semi detached and a pathway which leads into the neighbours garden.

I found this really weird.

Is this a problem and what are your thoughts?

Cheers. Ben.

Our street of detached houses is like this. Everyone's wall on one side abuts the neighbours drive way. The boundary starts from the corners of the house , front and back.

It's not especially a problem, there are no windows on those sides. Some houses have extended over the driveway but they still have a small gap.

Thank you . Love the house and didnt want this to be a potential problem in the future in any way

Not sure why this would be a problem. Is there side access to the rear garden? You can download title deeds from Land Registry if you want to check boundaries and easements.

Not a problem, you could be describing a few houses on my road and it’s not an issue.

There are detached houses you can walk around but they're rarer post 1990s when new build estates started getting built millimetres apart.
