Japanese bath - thoughts?

I'm looking for a house at the mo. Ideally I'd like a separate shower and bath but in my price range v unlikely.

It occurred to me that in the space of a "normal" low/horizontal bath, which I never find deep enough, I could fit in a shower cubicle and a deep sit-in Japanese style bath.

Haw anyone done this? Thoughts? If you saw this in a house, would it put you off?

We have just put in a very deep bath with straight sides. I know what it feels like to be a toddler in a normal sized bath now 🤣 Only used it once before getting a really stiff neck and feeling very dizzy when I got out.
Going to put a regular one in the other bathroom.

It looks like the place in Wales I bought mine from went bust, which is a shame as it's great. I bought it a few years ago now though. It's similar to this https://www.essentialbathing.co.uk/product/the-kigoi-bath-compact-range/ but mine might be deeper.

Things I like: the chair moulding is supremely comfortable. It comes up to my neck and I am TALL. I like the spa jets because I'm cheesy as hell and they feel great on my sore back.

I had mine built in next to a large shower with the shared controls on the side of the bath that makes up the wall of the shower. So the same taps operate the bath and the shower - it's one or the other, but I also put a long flexible hose on a second shower head so it reaches over and I can wash my hair in the bath if I feel like it, and clean the bath more easily.

I had a step put in on the shower side and a large lip behind the tub against the wall, so I can stand up and sit on the edge with my back against the wall, then swing my legs around, rather than clambering out directly.

It was an absolute beast to get into my upstairs bathroom.

I have a omnitub, not the tiny one, absolutely love it. I can sit with my legs out straight and water very near to my shoulders 😁, the water stays hot for age's.
The one thing to remember is not to have the water to hot has it's very easy to over heat 🥵. I may have done this a couple of times, not a nice feeling 😞
You will need steps into it unless your athletic
I also have a grab rail, a fancy one 😊

Mine was from Essential Bathing. They don’t do panels though so we had to have some made out of those bathroom wall panels.

I got mine direct from Omnitub. I love it! One thing you may have to consider though is that it may need an external frame built for any tiling to be done. I got mine put in when had my bathroom redone and the plumber was also a skilled carpenter but bit of a faff otherwise..

They are lovely but v v heavy when full so reinforce flooring.
