Do these really show limescale? Anyone regretted getting one?

Solid black or granite-resin speckled black? Yes they show limescale and also get scratched which is lighter in colour and stains itself brown. IME the only truly cleanable sinks are stainless steel or white ceramic.

Not black but we had a dark brown sink in our last house and it never looked clean and yes did show every bit of water and limescale i hated it went for a stainless steel one here

Oh no! Thanks so much. I want a brass tap though so will that be weird with a dark sink.

I think it's sold black the one I was looking at. It's a franke tectonite one.

In our first bespoke kitchen I thought I'd be really different and have a Blanco dark brown sink and matching hob. This was in the early 80s. Despite living in a soft water area I was never really happy with it once it started to show signs of wear. Since then I've always gone for stainless steel.
If you want a brass tap I'd go for a white ceramic sink.

Thank you so much. This is what I have done. Feel reassured! They are a bit more expensive and tend to break stuff (last sink also ceramic) but I can't have something difficult to keep nice looking and I know ceramic is easy.

Inherited black sink when I moved house
i hated it with limescale issues, even in a not so hard water area.
however, I do now have the hang of it- i regularly spray with white vinegar, leave then wipe down to completely remove build up. Weekly
I then discovered the white magic eraser sponges. I cut them in half to last longer. They work brilliantly in keeping it looking good and no limescale n between the vinegar washes .
also wiping drainer down with t towel helps .

would I switch to stainless steel- yep if I was refitting kitchen. But it is not the pain in backside it once was

if I was in very hard water area though it would be a nightmare I imagine.
