I’ve been considering options for the last 2 years and I can’t find the right place that would take all the boxes. Where to move out of London…commute 1 day per week, good schools, affordable houses (3 bed £500k), good NHS, diverse (we’re not British), and sense of community (yes I want it all!)
All the places I think of are extremely popular now (Guildford, Horsham, Tunbridge Wells…)
help please! We need to move in January!

And no disrespect to anyone in Kent but you can't compare the beaches to those in Norfolk. If beach is even your thing anyway

Sorry last comment - Norfolk & Norwich hospital is fab and has a really good rep. The mental health services here are some of the best in the country too. Norwich is a really diverse city, when we initially visited four years ago we fell in love with it and everywhere else went out the window!

As a white person, I'd always wonder how I could ever tell whether a place would feel comfortable to a diverse family.

But, hey, I'll not let that stop me! Just because I like to push the boundaries, I'll throw in Exeter. The 7:52 gets to Paddington in 2 hours 3 mins. I think that he city is fantastic. Far from the madness of the South East.
