Communal entrance - fire safety questions

In a house conversion, where communal front door opens onto v small corridor with two flats, does the communal front door need to be a fire door too or just the individual flat front doors? If so, is this if leaseholders own/mortgage the flats and/or if any of the flats are rented?

The communal front door needs to be locked/unlocked with a key to enter and exit the property. There is no thumblock etc. Does this need to be changed for fire safety if leaseholders own/mortgage flats or only if leaseholder wants to rent out?

Thanks

The front door does not need to be a fire door. The idea of a fire door is to stop smoke or fire spreading and there is nothing for it to spread to outside.
I do not know what the rule is about the lock but personally I would like it to be easy to open from inside without a key.
In many places the fire brigade will do a free check and offer advice.
